Controlgrid

A control grid is a component in vacuum tube electronics, particularly in triodes, tetrodes, and pentodes, used to control the flow of electrons from the cathode to the anode. It is a grid-like structure placed between the cathode and anode, to which a voltage is applied to regulate the electron flow. The control grid's primary function is to amplify or switch the electronic signal by varying the voltage applied to it. In Hebrew, a control grid is called רשת שליטה. In German, it is known as Steuernetz, and in French, it is referred to as grille de contrôle. The control grid is a crucial element in the operation of vacuum tubes, which were fundamental in early electronic devices such as radios, televisions, and early computers. The invention and development of the control grid significantly advanced the field of electronics, enabling the amplification and control of electronic signals with high precision.
