Astral plane

The astral realm, also known as the astral plane or astral world, is a plane of existence postulated by esoteric traditions, occultism, and New Age thought. It is conceived as a plane that can be visited by those capable of traveling outside of their physical bodies, typically through astral projection, out-of-body experiences, or near-death experiences. The astral realm is often described as a plane that is closer to the physical world than other "higher" planes of existence, and it is said to be populated by thought-forms, astral entities, and the astral counterparts of physical objects and beings. In Hebrew, the astral realm may be referred to as המישור האסטרלי (hamishor ha'astrali). In Sanskrit, it might be associated with the term Bhuvaloka, one of the lower planes of existence in Hindu cosmology. The concept of the astral realm has been explored in various spiritual and mystical traditions, including Theosophy, Anthroposophy, and various forms of Western esotericism. It is often depicted as a vibrant, colorful, and fluid dimension that mirrors the physical world but is subject to the influences of thought and emotion.

Astral plane
The astral plane, also called the astral realm, or the astral world, or the soul realm, or the spirit realm, is a plane of existence postulated by classical, medieval, oriental, esoteric, and New Age philosophies and mystery religions. It is the world of the celestial spheres, crossed by the soul in its astral body on the way to being born and after death, and is generally believed to be populated by angels, spirits, or other immaterial beings. In the late 19th and early 20th century, the term was popularised by Theosophy and neo-Rosicrucianism.
