Asteria

Asteria (Greek: Αστερία) is a figure in Greek mythology, the daughter of the Titans Coeus and Phoebe, and the sister of Leto. She is often associated with nocturnal oracles and is sometimes identified with the island of Delos, which is said to have been created when she fled from the advances of Zeus and was transformed into a quail (Greek: ὄρτυξ, ortux). In some accounts, Asteria is also linked to the constellation Virgo. The name Asteria is derived from the Greek word ἀστήρ (aster), meaning "star."
