Ageofaquarius

The Age of Aquarius is a concept originating from astrology that refers to an astrological age, which is a period of time approximately 2,160 years long, during which the Sun's position at the time of the vernal equinox passes through a particular constellation of the zodiac. The Age of Aquarius is said to occur when the vernal equinox point moves into the constellation Aquarius. This transition is believed by some to bring about significant spiritual and cultural changes, often associated with themes of humanitarianism, innovation, and progress. The term is also famously associated with the musical "Aquarius" from the 1967 musical Hair, which popularized the phrase "This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius" in mainstream culture. In Hebrew, the Age of Aquarius is referred to as עידן דלי (pronounced "Idan D'li"). In Spanish, it is known as Era de Acuario, and in French, it is called Ère du Verseau. The concept of astrological ages is based on the precession of the equinoxes, a gradual shift in the Earth's rotational axis over time. While the exact timing of the transition into the Age of Aquarius is debated among astrologers, many believe it is either already underway or will begin in the near future.
