Moses (Hebrew: מֹשֶׁה, Modern: Moshe, Tiberian: Mōšeh; Arabic: موسى, Mūsā; Greek: Μωυσής, Mōÿsḗs) is a prophet in Abrahamic religions, most notably in Judaism and Christianity. He is recognized in the Hebrew Bible (the Tanakh) as the leader of the Israelites and lawgiver to whom the Torah (the five books of Moses) is attributed.
