Rahu and Ketu (Sanskrit: राहु and केतु, respectively) are two of the nine celestial bodies or navagrahas in Hindu astrology and astronomy. They are considered as the ascending and descending lunar nodes, respectively, and are often depicted as shadowy, serpentine beings. In Hindu mythology, Rahu and Ketu are believed to be the severed head and body of an asura (demon) who attempted to drink the nectar of immortality during the churning of the ocean of milk. They are significant in Vedic astrology, where they are associated with eclipses and are believed to have a profound influence on human lives and destinies. The terms Rahu and Ketu do not have direct translations in Hebrew, but in other relevant languages, they are known as Rahu and Ketu in Hindi and Rahu and Ketu in Bengali. In Tamil, they are referred to as Rahu and Ketu, while in Telugu, they are known as Rahu and Ketu.
