Prince Eugene of Savoy (French: Eugène de Savoie, German: Prinz Eugen von Savoyen, Hungarian: Savoyai Jenő) (18 October 1663 – 21 April 1736) was a Habsburg military commander and statesman. Born in Paris, France, he was a member of the House of Savoy and served the Habsburgs in the Nine Years' War and the War of the Spanish Succession, where he fought against the French and their allies. He is often regarded as one of the most significant military commanders of his time, renowned for his victories at the Battle of Blenheim (1704), the Battle of Turin (1706), and the Battle of Peterwarad in (1716). Eugene's strategic prowess and leadership significantly contributed to the Habsburg Empire's dominance in Central Europe during the early 18th century. In Hebrew, he is known as נסיך אויגן מסבויה.
