Chiron

Chiron (Greek: Χείρων, romanized: Kheírōn; Latin: Chiron; Hebrew: כירון, romanized: Khiron) is a centaur in Greek mythology, known for his wisdom, kindness, and skill in medicine and archery. Unlike other centaurs, who were often depicted as wild and aggressive, Chiron was highly intelligent and civilized, serving as a tutor to several Greek heroes, including Achilles, Jason, and Asclepius. He was the son of the Titan Cronus and the nymph Philyra, and was often associated with the constellation Sagittarius. Chiron's name is derived from the Greek word χείρ (cheír), meaning "hand," reflecting his skill and dexterity. In astrology, Chiron is also the name given to a planetoid discovered in 1977, often referred to as the "wounded healer" due to its mythological associations with healing and injury.
