Challenger

The term Challenger generally refers to a person or entity that defies or competes against an established authority, champion, or incumbent. The word originates from the Old French chalengier, meaning "to summon" or "to call to account." In Hebrew, the translation is מוחלן (mokhalen). In Spanish, it is translated as retador, and in German, it is Herausforderer. The concept of a challenger is prevalent in sports, politics, business, and even in technological advancements, where new innovations often challenge existing paradigms. For instance, in professional wrestling, a challenger is a wrestler who seeks to win a championship title from the current champion.
