Bryonia alba, commonly known as white bryony or English mandrake, is a perennial climbing plant in the gourd family, Cucurbitaceae. It is native to Europe and parts of Asia and North Africa, thriving in hedgerows, woodlands, and scrublands. The plant is characterized by its twining stems, deeply lobed leaves, and small greenish-white flowers, which give way to bright red berries. In Hebrew, it is called בריוניה לבנה (Bryonia Levanah). The Latin name Bryonia is derived from the Greek word βρύω (bryō), meaning "to swell," referring to the plant's medicinal use in traditional herbalism. However, all parts of the plant are highly toxic if ingested, containing toxic alkaloids and glycosides. Historically, Bryonia alba has been used in homeopathy and folk medicine, though its use is now largely discouraged due to its toxicity. The plant is also notable for its rapid growth and ability to smother other vegetation, making it a subject of interest in ecological studies.
This site lets you convert words, names, and phrases into numerical values using different gematria systems. You can use the main calculator gematria tool at the top of the page: type your text, choose a method, and press Convert.
The calculator gematria tool supports multiple alphabets and standard letter–number mappings. More systems will be added in the future.
The reverse gematria calculator uses the same alphabet as the standard system but assigns values in reverse order (for example, A = 26, B = 25, …, Z = 1 in a basic English reverse setup). This lets you compare standard and reverse values for the same text.
Enter the word Bryonia alba and press enter or button Convert. This will provide all selected gematria values for Bryonia alba.
