Anthony Wayne (January 1, 1745 – December 15, 1796) was a United States Army general and statesman who fought in the American Revolutionary War and the Northwest Indian War. Often referred to as "Mad Anthony," Wayne was known for his courage and aggressive tactics. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of the United States Army and the expansion of the nation's borders. Wayne's military career began during the American Revolutionary War, where he distinguished himself at the battles of Stony Point and Paoli. Following the war, he was instrumental in the defeat of Native American tribes in the Northwest Territory, securing American control over the region. In Hebrew, his name can be translated as אנתוני ויין. In French, it is Antoine Wayne, and in German, it is Anthony Wayne.
