Adroa

The name "Adroa" translates to "the one who does not eat people" in the Lugbara language, reflecting the deity's role as a protector of humans from malevolent spirits. Adroa is often depicted as a double-faced figure, symbolizing the duality of good and evil, and is associated with the sun, rain, and fertility. The deity is central to Lugbara religious practices, which emphasize the importance of maintaining a harmonious relationship with the spiritual world. In other languages, Adroa is known as Adroa in Swahili and Adroa in French, though the name does not have a direct translation in Hebrew or other languages outside the region.
