The story of Ruth, a loyal woman who becomes part of the Israelite community and the great-grandmother of King David.

Chapter 2

KJV - Ruth 2:3

And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.

She went and arrived at the field where workers were harvesting. She gathered leftover grain after them. By chance, she was in a part of the field owned by Boaz, who was related to Elimelech.
