Tells about the Israelites' 40 years in the desert, including their travels and the census of their tribes.

Chapter 3

KJV - Numbers 3:45

Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of their cattle; and the Levites shall be mine: I am the LORD.

Replace all firstborn children of Israel with the Levites, and exchange the Levites' animals for theirs. The Levites will belong to me, as I am the LORD.
