←Back to VersesBut he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
But the person who isn't a true shepherd and doesn't own the sheep sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep to run away. The wolf then grabs the sheep and scatters them.
