Uses the prophet's marriage as a symbol for Israel's unfaithfulness and God's faithful love.

Chapter 8

KJV - Hosea 8:14

For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

Israel has forgotten the Creator while building temples, and Judah has many fortified cities. But I will send fire to their cities, which will destroy the grand buildings.
