KJV: And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.

Geneva: And the Queene of Sheba hearing ye fame of Salomon (concerning the Name of the Lord) came to proue him with hard questions.

KJV: And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train, with camels that bare spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and when she was come to Solomon, she communed with him of all that was in her heart.

Geneva: And she came to Ierusalem with a verie great traine, and camels that bare sweete odours, and golde exceeding much, and precious stones: and shee came to Salomon, & communed with him of all that was in her heart.

KJV: And Solomon told her all her questions: there was not any thing hid from the king, which he told her not.

Geneva: And Salomon declared vnto her all her questions: nothing was hid from the King, which he expounded not vnto her.

KJV: And when the queen of Sheba had seen all Solomon’s wisdom, and the house that he had built,

Geneva: Then the Queene of Sheba sawe all Salomons wisedome, and the house that he had built,

KJV: And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his ascent by which he went up unto the house of the LORD; there was no more spirit in her.

Geneva: And the meate of his table, and the sitting of his seruants, and the order of his ministers, and their apparel, and his drinking vessels, and his burnt offrings, that he offered in the house of the Lord, and she was greatly astonied.

KJV: And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.

Geneva: And shee sayde vnto the King, It was a true worde that I heard in mine owne lande of thy sayings, and of thy wisedome.

KJV: Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.

Geneva: Howebeit I beleeued not this report till I came, & had seene it with mine eyes: but lo, ye one halfe was not tolde mee: for thou hast more wisedome & prosperitie, then I haue heard by report.

KJV: Happy are thy men, happy are these thy servants, which stand continually before thee, and that hear thy wisdom.

Geneva: Happy are the men, happie are these thy seruants, which stande euer before thee, and heare thy wisedome.

KJV: Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice.

Geneva: Blessed be the Lord thy God, which loued thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel, because the Lorde loued Israel for euer and made thee King to doe equitie and righteousnesse.

KJV: And she gave the king an hundred and twenty talents of gold, and of spices very great store, and precious stones: there came no more such abundance of spices as these which the queen of Sheba gave to king Solomon.

Geneva: And she gaue the King sixe score talents of golde, and of sweete odours exceeding much, and precious stones. There came no more such aboudance of sweete odours, as the Queene of Sheba gaue to King Salomon.

KJV: And the navy also of Hiram, that brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir great plenty of almug trees, and precious stones.

Geneva: The nauie also of Hiram (that caried gold from Ophir) brought likewise great plentie of Almuggim trees from Ophir & precious stones.

KJV: And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king’s house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen unto this day.

Geneva: And the King made of ye Almuggim trees pillars for the house of the Lord, and for ye Kings palace, and made harpes and psalteries for singers. There came no more such Almuggim trees, nor were any more seene vnto this day.

KJV: And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which Solomon gave her of his royal bounty. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.

Geneva: And King Salomo gaue vnto the Queene of Sheba, whatsoeuer she would aske, besides that, which Salomon gaue her of his kingly liberalitie: so she returned and went to her owne countrey, both shee, and her seruantes.

KJV: Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold,

Geneva: Also the weight of golde, that came to Salomon in one yeere, was sixe hundreth three score and six talents of gold,

KJV: Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country.

Geneva: Besides that he had of marchant men and of the marchandises of them that solde spices, and of all the Kinges of Arabia, and of the princes of the countrey.

KJV: And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target.

Geneva: And King Salomon made two hundreth targets of beaten golde, sixe hundreth shekels of gold went to a target:

KJV: And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

Geneva: And three hundreth shieldes of beaten golde, three pound of gold went to one shielde: and the King put them in the house of the wood of Lebanon.

KJV: Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold.

Geneva: Then the King made a great throne of yuorie, and couered it with the best golde.

KJV: The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays.

Geneva: And the throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind, and there were stayes on either side on the place of the throne, and two lions standing by the stayes.

KJV: And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom.

Geneva: And there stoode twelue lions on the sixe steps on either side: there was not the like made in any kingdome.

KJV: And all king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

Geneva: And all King Salomons drinking vessels were of golde, and all the vessels of the house of the woode of Lebanon were of pure golde, none were of siluer: for it was nothing esteemed in the dayes of Salomon.

KJV: For the king had at sea a navy of Tharshish with the navy of Hiram: once in three years came the navy of Tharshish, bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

Geneva: For the King had on the sea the nauie of Tharshish with the nauie of Hiram: once in three yere came the nauie of Tharshish, and brought golde & siluer, yuorie, and apes and peacockes.

KJV: So king Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom.

Geneva: So King Salomon exceeded all the kings of the earth both in riches and in wisedome.

KJV: And all the earth sought to Solomon, to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

Geneva: And al the world sought to see Salomon, to heare his wisedome, which God had put in his heart,

KJV: And they brought every man his present, vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and armour, and spices, horses, and mules, a rate year by year.

Geneva: And they brought euery man his present, vessels of siluer, and vessels of golde, and raiment, and armour, and sweete odours, horses & mules, from yeere to yeere.

KJV: And Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he bestowed in the cities for chariots, and with the king at Jerusalem.

Geneva: Then Salomon gathered together charrets and horsemen: and he had a thousand and foure hundreth charets, and twelue thousande horsemen, whome hee placed in the charet cities, and with the King at Ierusalem.

KJV: And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore trees that are in the vale, for abundance.

Geneva: And the King gaue siluer in Ierusalem as stones, and gaue cedars as the wilde figtrees that growe abundantly in the plaine.

KJV: And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king’s merchants received the linen yarn at a price.

Geneva: Also Salomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and fine linen: the Kings marchants receiued the linen for a price.

KJV: And a chariot came up and went out of Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.

Geneva: There came vp & went out of Egypt some charet, worth sixe hundreth shekels of siluer: that is, one horse, an hundreth and fiftie and thus they brought horses to all the Kings of the Hittites and to the Kings of Aram by their meanes.
