Chapter 19

KJV - 1 Chronicles 19:5

Then there went certain, and told David how the men were served. And he sent to meet them: for the men were greatly ashamed. And the king said, Tarry at Jericho until your beards be grown, and then return.

Then some people told David about how the men were treated. So, he sent others to meet them because the men felt very embarrassed. The king then told them to stay in a place called Jericho until their beards grew, and then they could come back.
