KJV - Matthew 3:3

For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

This means that the person being talked about was mentioned by the prophet Isaiah. He said, "Someone is shouting in the desert, 'Get ready for the Lord's coming and make his path easy to follow.'"
